The J W Marriott is one of the premier hotels in Washington, DC surrounded by prominent structures such as the White House, Smithsonian, Willard Hotel, Old Executive Building, and is connected to the Warner Theater. Simpson Unlimited, Inc. was awarded the contract to perform the exterior restoration, which included sealant replacement, brick replacement, expansion joint width modification, tuckpointing, and cleaning. Extreme measures were taken to ensure the hotel was able to continue to provide full access to all the facilities normally offered. Simpson personnel kept up day-to-day communication with the hotel to coordinate the working schedule and to ensure the hotels ability to schedule hotel events. Communication between hotel management, the consultant, and Simpson Unlimited lead to a very successful project.
