Downtown Silver Spring Redevelopment Project
- Simpson Unlimited's "full service" restoration really came into play during the Award Winning Downtown Silver Spring Redevelopment Project. Skilled employees from all 4 of Simpson's divisions; Roofing, Waterproofing, Architectural Sheet Metal, and Service Department worked on numerous areas throughout the redevelopment project. We waterproofed the Wayne Avenue and Town Square Garages, completed the dismantling, refurbishment, and re-installation of the canopy on the AFI Silver Theater, and roofed Block B and Block C.

Hotel Monaco
- The Monaco Hotel is a historic landmark located at 700 F Street, NW, Washington, DC, an icon in the heart of the Penn Quarter neighborhood. We were awarded a contract to perform the plaza rehabilitation which consisted of demolition of the existing plaza area, installing new waterproofing membrane, and reinstallation of pavers in the Summer of 2004. In the Spring of 2005 we were awarded a contract to return and complete the 2nd phase of the project. While there we completed miscellaneous repairs on their metal roof and wet glazed their skylights.

J W Marriott
- The J W Marriott is one of the premier hotels in Washington, DC surrounded by prominent structures such as the White House, Smithsonian, Willard Hotel, Old Executive Building, and is connected to the Warner Theater. Simpson Unlimited, Inc. was awarded the contract to perform the exterior restoration, which included sealant replacement, brick replacement, expansion joint width modification, tuckpointing, and cleaning. Extreme measures were taken to ensure the hotel was able to continue to provide full access to all the facilities normally offered. Simpson personnel kept up day-to-day communication with the hotel to coordinate the working schedule and to ensure the hotels ability to schedule hotel events. Communication between hotel management, the consultant, and Simpson Unlimited lead to a very successful project.

Vantage House
- Vantage House is an eighteen-story high-rise located at 5400 Vantage Point Road in Columbia, Maryland. Simpson Unlimited was awarded a contract to perform the following exterior restoration: sealant replacement, weep hole modification, deck coating, soffit coating, EFIS coating, power washing, application of clear sealer, painting of steel lintels and railings, concrete repair, rout and seal, tuckpointing, and enlargement of horizontal and vertical control joints. The work was performed in 2 phases and Vantage House was fully occupied during the restoration. Good communication between Vantage House management, the consultant, our project manager, and on-site crew ensured a smooth running project.
