Masonry restoration is wide-ranging umbrella term for building repair services performed on the concrete, clay, stone, pre-cast, or brick exterior of a building. If your building is experiencing leaks through the facade or damage on the exterior is visible with the naked eye, it’s time to have our expert masonry restoration team do an inspection to see how they’re industry-leading solutions can help improve your commercial building’s appearance and integrity.
“Façade restoration” is probably a more fitting term for the broad spectrum of service types that masonry restoration projects encapsulate. Some of the most common services we perform include:
- Thru-wall flashing above window heads. We’ll remove the masonry façade above the window head to expose the back-up wall. Once exposed, a new waterproofing membrane is installed at the back up wall, and the previously removed masonry is re-installed.
- Above/below grade waterproofing. Our experts will excavate any soil or earth to expose the existing foundation waterproofing system, allowing us to make repairs or perform a complete replacement.
- Masonry/Concrete Coatings. Once the brick, concrete, mortar, precast, and/or sealants are replaced, we’ll install brand new masonry coatings.
- Masonry/Concrete Repairs. Services in this area include the removal of existing mortar and installation of new mortar (“tuck pointing”), brick or CMU replacement, limestone repair, precast repairs, concrete repairs/replacement (partial and full depth), granite/precast panel repairs/replacement, concrete/precast crack injections.
We also regularly perform expansion joints, control joint, and window/door perimeter caulking replacement and window glazing (metal to glass).
