Simpson was contracted to replace the roofing on twin buildings in Tyson’s Corner. Completed in 2012, this twin tower roof replacement exhibits the capabilities of Simpson’s commercial roofing department.

We were contracted to perform the replacement of the commercial roofing systems on the North and South tower of the Pinnacle property’s main and penthouse roof levels. The commercial roof replacement included the salvaging of existing ballast and pavers along with extruded polystyrene for re-installation. After the tear-off of the existing debris, we replaced the existing commercial roof drain assemblies. A base sheet and two-ply Siplast SBS modified bitumen membrane roofing system was installed over the existing roof deck, torch-applying the product to the roof deck in an IRMA configuration. Kynar finish aluminum edge metal was fabricated in our shop and installed at the perimeter parapet walls along with other general sheet metal at different details throughout the roof area.
