Simpson replaced the EPDM commercial roofing on this luxury hotel in late 2012, re-using much of the existing material and proving that difficult access and staging can be overcome.

At the Ritz-Carlton, tucked away in Tysons Corner, a densely congested business area of Northern Virginia, Simpson was tasked with the replacement of the commercial roofing system with a new 90 mil EPDM membrane. The existing membrane was removed, salvaging all of the existing insulation (R-value) lying below it. The new 90-mil membrane was installed and the gravel ballast was re-distributed across the commercial roof system per the manufacturer’s specifications. Simpson fabricated all drip edges and other perimeter edge metal in our shop in Manassas for rooftop installation.
